Earlier this year, Ware UK, a leading supplier to the hospitality and janitorial industries, approached us with an urgent need for EV charging infrastructure at their new premises in Knowsley.
Having already integrated electric vehicles into their fleet, they required the swift installation of four EV charging points to ensure seamless operations at their new location, which lacked the necessary charging facilities.
Our Solution
To meet Ware UK’s needs, we recommended the installation of two sleek and intelligent Rolec Quantum twin EV charging pedestals. This setup would provide charging capabilities for four vehicles simultaneously. To safeguard the incoming electrical supply and maintain the integrity of the existing infrastructure, we advised setting the chargers at 11kW. This approach balances efficiency with safety, ensuring a reliable and sustainable solution.
The project was more than a just a straightforward installation as it required substantial civil and groundworks due to the parking layout at the new site. Collaborating with Elite Surfacing and Excavations Manchester, we undertook the necessary groundwork, which included excavating and preparing the site to run subterranean cables and installing protective barriers for the charging pedestals. Our coordinated efforts ensured that the groundworks were executed promptly and to a high standard.
The Results
The project was completed efficiently within a tight timeframe. The civil and groundworks were accomplished in just one day, followed by the installation of the EV charging pedestals over two days.
From the initial client approval to project completion, the entire process spanned just under 2.5 weeks.
