In January 2024, we carried out a comprehensive EV charger installation and civil works project for Norican Group, a leading manufacturing company with three sites located in Altrincham, Cheshire. With a workforce totalling 150 employees across the three sites and an additional 15 service engineers travelling nationwide, Norican Group sought to integrate sustainable energy solutions into their operations.
The initial phase aimed to accommodate the needs of the current workforce whilst ensuring the solution was future-proofed.
Our Solution
To address Norican Group’s requirements, we proposed and executed a bespoke EV charging solution. Our comprehensive solution not only addresses the immediate needs of the organisation but also lays the foundation for long-term sustainability and growth. By leveraging our expertise in commercial EV charger installation and civil works, we provide a turnkey solution that aligns with Norican Group’s commitment to environmental responsibility and operational success.
- EV Chargers: We supplied and installed 2 Rolec twin socketed QUANTUM vehicle chargers at each site, featuring Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) compatibility, providing 2 x 16A 11Kw three-phase mode 3 fast charging capabilities.
- Civil Works: We arranged for civil works to be carried out by our trusted subcontractor team to facilitate the installation. The works included the laying of ducting and root mounting kits, reinstating the flagged surface, and installing root-mounted protection barriers.
- EV Distribution Board: A new dedicated EV distribution board by Hager was installed to support the charging infrastructure.
