On the 22nd and 23rd of June, our director Matt was involved in an open day at the revolutionary Brit European Vita Nova Centre. Matt had a table at the event explaining our involvement in this innovative project, promoting Rolec EV, and the charging infrastructure we use as part of our EV charger installations. Matt engaged with visitors, discussing products like the Zura and QUBEV, while emphasising the advantages that Rolec chargers bring to businesses seeking to provide EV charging solutions.
The Brit European Group has recently relocated to the Vita Nova Centre, their new head office facility in Cheshire. The Centre was purposefully designed with two primary environmental goals in mind. Firstly, to be completely carbon neutral in its build and operation. Secondly, the Centre aims to be completely off-grid, ensuring independence from traditional energy sources. It also serves as an efficient transport yard and head office, accommodating 75 vehicles and 50 staff members making these goals even more challenging.
As part of these pledges, the buildings are constructed using innovative technologies to reduce their environmental impact. Constructed with a repurposed steel frame, the head office stands as the epitome of energy efficiency among buildings, with an A rating.

The use of commercial chargers paired with the world’s first innovative off-grid charging solution from Bennamann Energy Ltd allows EV charging without the need for power-grid connections or investment in upgrades to the grid.
Bennamann Energy has developed technologies to use methane from farm manure for rapid EV charging in rural areas without grid access. The project, partly funded by the European Regional Development Fund, provides carbon-neutral bioheat and avoids grid upgrades. It offers a disruptive EV infrastructure solution, allowing businesses and communities to meet increasing EV demand without grid connections.
Another innovative feature of the Centre is a unique type of wind tower that generates power without any visible moving parts, enabling quiet and unobtrusive energy production. Furthermore, rainwater harvesting systems have been implemented to significantly reduce water consumption by 85%, incorporating recycled water for toilet flushing and vehicle washing.
The Vita Nova Centre serves as an inspiring example of how businesses can adapt and embrace sustainability, showcasing the possibilities for a greener future. By integrating cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions, such as the use of repurposed materials, wind power generation, rainwater harvesting, and off-grid EV charging, the Centre demonstrates the transformative impact that can be achieved.
The centre even got an honourable mention in The House Of Commons by local MP Fiona Bruce! Fiona also attended the open day on 23rd June and was so impressed by what she saw that she wanted to discuss what had been done in parliament.
